WHICH IS BETTER, SOLVOL BAR OR LIQUID?
Both the Solvol Heavy-duty hand cleaner bar and the Solvol hand liquid serve the same purpose: removing ingrained dirt, grease, oil, paint, ink, and solvents. The choice between them ultimately depends on personal preference. Some people prefer the convenience of a liquid hand scrub, while others appreciate the traditional feel of a pumice-based soap bar. Either way, you’ll get effective cleaning power!
THE SOAP HAS CAUSED A RASH ON MY SKIN, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If the soap has caused a rash or irritation, stop use immediately and seek medical advice. Our Safety Data Sheet (SDS) are available on our website,
www.solvol.com.au/sds
CAN I USE SOLVOL ON OTHER PARTS OF MY BODY, NOT JUST HANDS?
The Solvol Heavy-duty hand cleaner bar is specifically designed for use on hands. Other parts of body have more sensitive skin, which could be irritated by the pumice granules present in Solvol soap.
WHY IS THE SOLVOL BAR DIFFERENT?
Due to manufacturing restraints, we have adjusted the formula and shape of the Solvol bar. The new bar is a slightly different formula; however, it should clean just as well as the old bar. We have found through testing that it is rougher after the first use.
IS THE SOLVOL PACKAGING RECYCLABLE?
The plastic Solvol bottles are recyclable however the pump on the 2L and 4.5L bottles and the seal on the 250ml and 500ml are not currently recyclable. Currently the Solvol bar wrap is not recyclable. You can also check the back of pack for recycling instructions specific to each product.
WHY IS THE PUMP CLOGGING AND HOW DO I FIX IT?
It's the natural perlite that can sometimes get a bit stuck. Immerse the clogged pump under warm water and repeatedly conduct a pumping action until the pump is unclogged.
IS SOLVOL SUITABLE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY?
Yes, all ingredients in Solvol are suitable for both adults and kids. Being a heavy-duty hand cleaner, we do not recommend children use the product without supervision, individual sensitivities can vary.
Supervision: Always supervise children when using Solvol Heavy-duty hand cleaning products. Children might be curious and put things in their mouths, so it’s best to keep the soap out of their reach.
Rinse Thoroughly: If children come into contact with Solvol soap, ensure they rinse their hands thoroughly with water. Pumice/Perlite can be abrasive, so it’s essential to wash it off completely.
Avoid Ingestion: While Solvol soap is not toxic, ingesting any soap is not recommended. It may cause gastrointestinal irritation. If a child accidentally ingests a small amount, it’s unlikely to cause harm, but it’s best to consult your doctor. If a large amount is swallowed and symptoms occur, call a Poisons Information Centre (phone AUS 13 11 26 or NZ 0800 764 766). Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel.
Storage: Store Solvol Heavy-duty hand cleaner in a safe place, away from children and pets. Consider using a soap dish or container that keeps the bar dry.
If you have specific concerns consult a paediatrician or dermatologist. As always, safety first!
WHAT IS PERLITE?
Perlite is a natural volcanic mineral. It's non-toxic and environmentally friendly. Make sure to shake the bottle before use as the perlite can sometimes sink to the bottom if you haven't used it for a while. Perlite in Solvol liquid is used as an abrasive to help wash off grease and dirt on hands and nails. No nasty microbeads here.
HOW IS SOLVOL LIQUID DIFFERENT FROM A STANDARD HAND SOAP?
Solvol is a heavy duty hand soap with an inbuilt natural scrubbing substance called perlite. This helps remove tough dirt and grime easily.
